Sainte-Anne-of Auray, Morbihan

Ste Anne d’Auray, most important place of pilgrimage in Britain, home each year 800 000 visitors.

The most famous of these pilgrims remains the Pope John Paul II who went there in 1996.

The imposing Basilica alongside the breton memorial on the walls of which the 240 000 names of those killed in combat testify to the over-exposure of the Breton regiments during the first world war.
